João was extremely helpful and friendly, both when we arrived at the boat and when I found out I had left a jacket. He came to drop it off when we were back in Ponta Delgada a few days later. The boat itself is a great experience if you’re looking for something different than a standard hotel. It has everything you need on board, but there are also sanitary facilities at the boathouse. There is a double bed and an extra bedroom with 2 beds below deck. The deck is nice to lounge and enjoy the harbor.

Exceptional stay on the boat. If you seek an unusual accommodation for your vacation, I can only recommend staying in the marina at Joao’s place! The place is equipped with everything you need, including a very comfortable bed. Place is super clean and the bathroom facilities in the marina (to which you have an access too) are very convenient and so is the parking space included in the stay price. The host was always available for us and added great recommendations for local food & drinks. And since all the sailors in the marina are so friendly, you also might get a freshly caught fish you can grill at the boat directly. We enjoyed fully!
